At leading technology news site CNET, Dan oversees coverage of personal technology, from computers and gaming to televisions and home audio. A hands-on expert, he manages a team running CNET's New York gadget testing lab and has personally tested and reviewed hundreds of products, while also hosting videos and writing about hot-button consumer technology topics. 

Pre-pandemic, he also created and hosted the CNET Book Club podcast, where he’s interviewed authors such as Walter Mosley, Jeff VanderMeer and Andy Weir.

As a writer and columnist, Dan has contributed regularly over the years to magazines including Men's Journal, Maxim, Blender, and Sync, and he's previously served as a monthly columnist for both SPIN and WWE Magazine. As an industry expert, he's been interviewed by or quoted in the New York Times, USA Today, The Atlantic, Mother Jones, Fast Company, and many other publications.
